Meet the MC’s of E-Tourism Summit Workshops and General Sessions, Thursday and Friday, October 11-12, 2012.

Marla Johnson Norris is a founder and CEO of Aristotle Inc., an award-winning interactive marketing agency and application and software development firm located in the New South city of Little Rock, Arkansas.  Marla has been invited to speak at numerous Governor’s Conferences including New Mexico, North Carolina, West Virginia, South Carolina and Missouri to name a few. She also spoke at America Outdoors for four years and recently, she spoke at the Destination Marketing Association International Annual Convention in Seattle on the changing landscape of online tourism marketing for DMO’s. Additionally, Marla consults with resorts, attractions, destinations, cities, states and regional tourism organizations to create sustainable strategies that turn online analytics into marketing tactics that get results.

 Larry Dickerson, Destination Marketing Group. In addition to serving as a senior advisor and representative for some  of the top national online marketing firms, including eBrains, Inc.,Larry has established himself as one of the leading experts in technology-based tourism marketing. Larry’s work also includes additional activities with private sector tourism based businesses, assisting with sales and marketing strategies and online marketing planning  Larry has serve Chief of Staff for Michigan Operations for former U.S. Senator Spencer Abraham and he continues to serve as the head of Destination Marketing Group.

Troy Thompson, Founder, Travel 2.0.  Troy Thompson is a respected consultant, speaker and thought-leader in the tourism industry. As a former interactive director with NASCAR, the Arizona Office of Tourism and VISIT DENVER, Troy brings a wealth of strategic planning experience to his clients.  Currently Principal and Senior Tourism Consultant at the Travel 2.0 Consulting Group, Troy provides destinations, agencies and start-ups with answers to difficult digital marketing questions.

James Hacon, Founder and CEO of Destination Content. Based in New Zealand, James Hacon speaks internationally and writes for a number of consumer and trade publications about online and collaborative marketing strategies for travel and tourism. He is the Co-Founder & CEO of Destination Content, a company that creates innovative tourism video content solutions that tell a story and embrace the importance of people and place. He is passionate about all things digital when it comes to the tourism sector and is actively involved as an advisor on a number of other projects in New Zealand.

David Poteet, CEO Nomad Mobile Guides.

Nomad Mobile Guides, Inc. is a team of people who love travel and obsess about making technology simple, smart and easy.  The Nomad Mobile Guides engine powers a growing series of apps including guides for several US national parks and travel titles from some of your favorite publishers . David is also president of New City, an interactive design agency.
